Penne Pesto Alfredo with Mixed Greens and Goat Cheese Crostini

But all I can say is that when your pasta tastes better then a restaurant you know you succeeded . I have a problem when making pasta for dinner and it’s that I can’t only have pasta, I need something on the side, so I decided to make a mixed green salad with goat cheese Crostini. It was heaven! I am a big fan of basil. That’s why I love Penne pesto, but I also love fettuccine Alfredo so I am really happy that by combining the two recipes I made my two favorite pasta dishes in one 🙂 the nutmeg gives it that homy feeling and the shallots a hint of sweetness. What I love about this dish is that you can see the chopped basil so you know it is fresh. Oh gosh, and the salad…I really thought the pasta would be the highlight of the dinner, but my husband kept commenting on the salad. It is so good, I can assure you that your spouse or family member will be impressed 🙂
