French baguettes

Whether you have been to Paris or not, you all know how famous baguettes are. I have been trying to find the best recipe for baguettes that can be easily made at home, and I finally did. This is a french recipe so I converted the measurements. I can guarantee you that once you hear that crisp sound of the baguette you will no longer want to make any other type of bread.

Yield: 2 Time: 2hrs

Step 2:
Preheat oven to 455 degrees. The dough will be sticky, but don’t worry, with flour Separate the dough in half and roll it until it forms a long stick. Make three cuts on the baguette, place in floured baguette pans and bake for 25 minutes.

*Tip: if you want the crust to be extra crispy, place a pan with water on the rack under the baguettes.

How easy was this recipe? There is nothing like fresh french baguette coming out of the oven. Stay tuned for my next recipe which will obviously include homemade baguettes 🙂
